In the upcoming feature-length documentary "Sex to Spirit," we lift the lid on one of the most controversial spiritual paths ever to exist. This path contains ancient teachings that incorporate sex into a wider system of spiritual transformation – teachings which are now being reawakened and renewed for out time.

Join us as we journey behind closed doors, gaining unique access to teachers who use sexual energy as fuel for change. Dr. Tara Long (pseudoniem) (oprichter & bestuurslid Connection / Coniugium in de functies van Secretaris en Vice-voorzitter)
Studeerde o.a. cognitieve - en neuropsychologie in Utrecht en Amsterdam. In 1994 behaalde zij haar doctoraal als psychologisch onderzoeker. Zij specialiseerde zich daarna verder als integraal en transpersoonlijk psycholoog / seksuoloog met als interessegebieden: dieptepsychologie, psychologische antropologie, sociale psychologie, cognitieve creativiteitspsychologie en ontwikkelingspsychologie.

Zij is naast haar werk als docent, coach en transpersoonlijk counsellor werkzaam als onderzoeker op het gebied van meervoudige begaafdheid, intelligentie en creativiteit bij top professionals in de kunst en wetenschap.

Long promoveerde op 20 augustus 2009 met een kwalitatief psychologische studie naar het artistieke creatieproces en creatieve performance. Zij behaalde daarmee de graad Doctor of Science in Psychology.

Daarnaast behaalde Long op 14 mei 2010 een academische graad in de klinische seksuologie. De afgelopen twaalf jaar specialiseerde zij zich tevens in de VS als lichaamsgericht seksuoloog (somatic sexologist). Zij is een specialiste op het gebied van (seksuele) mindfulness en multi-orgastisch bewustzijn. Vanwege haar vernieuwende en controversiële opvattingen binnen de wetenschap van de seksuologie, heeft zij bewust ervoor gekozen zich niet aan te sluiten bij de reguliere Nederlandse beroepsorganisatie (NVVS). 

Daarnaast ontwikkelt Long zich momenteel als onafhankelijk seksuologisch onderzoeker. Zij is de enige onderzoeker in Nederland, die systematisch onderzoek verricht naar overdracht en tegenoverdracht in de (seksuologische) hulprelatie, bezien vanuit het perspectief van de therapeut.

Long volgde naast haar academische opleidingen, diverse holistische massage-opleidingen in binnen en buitenland, o.a. in 1999 bij de beroemde Taoistische meester Mantak Chia. Kreeg vervolgens haar tantrische initiatie vanuit de Tibetaanse School. Beoefent tevens Chi Gong en Yoga. Volgde lessen in emotioneel en energetisch lichaamswerk. Werd in 1995 geïnitieerd als sjamaan, metafysisch en sexual healer door psychiater en sjamaan Astrid de Vreese.

In 2009 werd Long tevens gerespecteerd lid van de "The Buddhist Society" in Londen.

Sinds 2000 leidt Tara een coachingspraktijk op het gebied van intimiteit, seksualiteit en liefdesrelaties, welke zich baseert op integrale principes en filosofie. De behandeling van cliënten geschiedt volgens diezelfde integrale inzichten en aanpak. www.love-in-action.nl

Fred Traugott (mede-oprichter, ex-bestuurslid Connection)
Fred heeft diverse opleidingen gevolgd op het gebied van tantra en seksualiteit uit oost en west onder andere de 2 jarige tantratraining van het SkyDancing Instituut, Human Awareness Institute en hulpverlening bij vaginisme en dispareunie. Hij is jaren werkzaam gweest als tantra-trainer en seks-docent. Respect en vrije keuze zijn Fred's sleutel-woorden ten aanzien van seksualiteit. Inmiddels is Fred met pensioen en heeft hij zijn praktijk gesloten.Als oprichter van Tantra.nl werd hij door diverse tv- en radio programma's in binnen- en buitenland uitgenodigd om zijn visie op tantra en seksualiteit te geven. Hij heeft vele workshops over tantra en seksualiteit ontworpen en geleid.

Centrum voor LevensLust is in 2002 opgezet door Fred Traugott. In het Centrum worden professionele groeps en individuele trainingen en coachings aangeboden op het gebied van intimiteit en seksualiteit. Introductie

Emoties en gedachten zijn als golven op de zee
De illusie is dat je de golf bent,
waardoor je meegesleurd wordt in het dagelijks leven.
Je echte bewustzijn is als de diepe zee,
een pure liefdevolle aanwezigheid,
waarin de golven kunnen opkomen en verdwijnen,
zonder dat er iets verandert aan de zee.  

Leven vanuit je hart is populair: het zijn niet alleen zweverige cursussen die deze slogan promoten, er is ook een bank die adverteert met 'volg je hart' en het CDA profileert zich met 'politiek recht uit het hart'. Op bussen van het Gemeentelijk Vervoersbedrijf Utrecht gaat het om 'hart voor de klant'. Een bekend managementboek stelt dat alle theorieën over management overbodig zijn en dat je 'gewoon je hart moet volgen'. Deze nadruk op het volgen van je hart is een logische tegenbeweging voor het doorgeslagen vrijemarktkapitalisme, de doorgeslagen managementcultuur en benadrukking van het eigenbelang. Als leven vanuit je hart zo eenvoudig was, zou het gewoon gebeuren. Waarom doen we het dan niet?

Onze cultuur kent een sterke nadruk op de rationaliteit, het cognitieve deel van ons bewustzijn. Bijzonder nuttig als het om echte cognitieve zaken gaat, zoals het berekenen van de sterkte van een brug, maar bijzonder beperkt als het gaat om verbinding, schoonheid, liefde en integriteit. De keerzijde van de rationaliteit die we ook heel goed kennen, is de emotionaliteit. Het korte lontje, de onderbuikgevoelens, conflicten, ruzie, jaloezie, boosheid en hebzucht: de negatieve gevolgen hiervan zien we elke dag in onze omgeving en in onszelf. We zien in onze cultuur een golfbeweging tussen rationaliteit en emotionaliteit, maar beide leveren de nodige problemen op.

De middenweg tussen de ratio vanuit het hoofd en de emotie vanuit de buik ligt letterlijk in het hartgebied: leven vanuit liefdevolle aandacht. Zoals uitdrukkingen en slogans tonen, ervaren we dus intuïtief dat leven vanuit het hart mooi en goed is, maar door een enorme verwarring in terminologie, gedrag en ervaring blijft dit 'leven vanuit het hart' vaak in een mistig gebied hangen, om vervolgens in het niets op te lossen.

Leven vanuit hart, leven vanuit je gevoel, is echter te leren en ook helder onder woorden te brengen. In het boek Schakel door naar je hart. Het trainen van de vrije wil, wordt dit op een veelzijdige manier beschreven en verbeeld. Verhalen die je gevoel raken, verhalen uit de praktijk van onderwijs tot architectuur en een onderbouwing vanuit filosofie wetenschap en boeddhisme. Maar alleen verhalen en onderbouwing zijn niet genoeg om te leren leven vanuit een gevoel. Het is vooral een kwestie van oefenen, en in het boek staan dan ook veel oefeningen en meditaties.

Om te leren leven vanuit je gevoel is een veelzijdig aanbod aan trainingen, lezingen en colleges beschikbaar. Geplande trainingen, maar ook trainingen die in opdracht op maat gemaakt kunnen worden op veel verschillende vakgebieden.

Tantrafestival is uitverkocht

Het negende tantrafestival, dat wordt gehouden op zaterdag 3 november 2012 in Centrum Djoj in Rotterdam, is vol. Het aantal aanmeldingen heeft het maximum bereikt.

Het jaarlijkse festival is telkens een kans op kennismaking en inspiratie, maar ook op vernieuwing en verdieping. Een kans om te proeven van de verschillende vormen van tantra en dergelijke. Dat betekent ook dat de sfeer en de inhoud van de workshops heel verschillend kan zijn. Soms is het meer gericht op spiritualiteit en meditatie, soms meer op intimiteit en seksuele energie, soms beide. Wel houden alle begeleiders er rekening mee dat het een laagdrempelige dag is waar iedereen ontspannen mee kan doen met de activiteiten.

Tantra for all. What, how, where we are teaching ?

Many people are asking us question : "What You are actually teaching". Mostly we answer with another question: "What are Your expectations ? "
Tantra is also about spontaneity, so we are. Usually at the first meeting we are trying to find out from You what You would like to learn. Why ? How ? What exactly etc. Then, when we know more less something, it is easier together with You to figure out the program, method, schedule, the way etc. what would work most efficient for You. We are all individuals, the situations are also different. Our scope of possibilities should expand to the situation and to the student(s) itself.
For the people who would like just to find out what tantra is and if it is something for them we have introduction lecture what may last from 45 minutes till three ha. Between theory about practise, we give small examples of simple, save exercises, what You can follow after alone or with Your partner. Everyone who would follow instructions just from this introduction may diametrically improve their life.
For those who would like to go deeper, we provide practical workshop what could be only one session or what could be also as a long, regular training. For the practical sessions we prefer to work with the couples, but don't worry if You are single. They're always someone who needs partner too. Especially within the spontaneous couples ( but not only ) we expect from people to learn to respect their own and their partners barriers and limitations. In this matched for purpose of the training couples, our goal is that even person who have lover, who do not attend to the lessons, would fill comfortable (and their lover either). Of course we don't mind ( we even like it ;) if people who are free after or during the training would form relationship. Best for us is to teach lovers couples from simple reason: where is love, energy flows freely end better and of course we can teach them more.
Whatever Your situation is, whatever are Your expectations, we will do our best to fit them and learn You better way of lo(/i)ving. You just have to make the first step.

Do not worry about the money. Even we value our teachings a lot we are thinking that tantric teachings should be available for everyone especially for those who needs it mostly or for those who are so busy with making good things that they do not have time to make money ( sounds familiar for us ;) We are so dedicated to spreading the knowledge of love that we resigned from our paid work with the hope that universe would take care for us. So if You like our ideas, our workshops improved Your life, health, relationship etc. by donating ( top window on right ) You would help us to survive or make our work more efficient. You can also help us in other way if You like...

For those who needs more structure or concretes : All lessons we can teach in our home.
I'm in every thursday at 20.00 at the Valreep (Polderweg 120 Amsterdam) where I can give only introduction or if You're lucky also individual talk.
For those who fill better in their own surroundings we don't mind to give the lessons in their own homes.
We are open to teach in all circumstances. On festivals, events etc.We don't mind to be a part of dancing, alternative, spiritual, or/and  ecologic events. We like travel as well.
Practical workshop, first lesson could be about two three ha.
Whole course takes 12 lessons with possibilities of repetitions or making the lessons longer if needed.
We are able also provide intense weekend with accommodation and delicious healthy organic raw food.
And as wee said we are flexible to Your expectations. Do not hesitate to contact/ask the questions and invite us !

Tantra, Love and Activism our workshop offer

Tantric Activism is a combination of tantric love and activism, that will improve our way of loving. By practicing this we can get more strength in everything what we take on in life. It is a way to improve your life, health, your relationships, your activities, etc. Through tantric activism (= doing good) our lives will be much more happy and our way of loving stronger!
By bringing our love to a higher level by 'doing good', it will have a positive effect on our surroundings and eventually on the entire world.
This workshop is an introduction to this concept, where you will hear more about the theory, and learn some of the basic practical exercises. Singles and couples are welcome!

1st - theoretical part with simple exercise between ( from 1-3 ha - depends from situation, audience etc. )
2nd - practical. Working within the couples but with respecting anyone boundaries.

3th,4th,5th...th parts depends from expectations, situation, audience
